Onisaburo Deguchi is very special to me and has been one of directions in my life. Reikai Monogatari that he dictated about what his astral body saw, heard and experienced in spiritual worlds is one of foundations of my spiritual wisdom. Since he is a legend, many people compliment his accomplishments from various perspectives, but for me, following facts are especially important.

Mitsuba-hiko broadly opens a new avenue
and dedicates Hutotamagushi to God via words in truth.
*Izumitama = Essential quality that realizes longitudinal, fire, sun, element of spirit, masculinity, heaven, love and good, heat, left, gold, etc.
*Mizumitama = Essential quality that realizes lateral, water, moon and earth, element of material, femininity, truth and beauty, light, right, silver, etc.
*Ookunitokotachi-no-ookami = One of the two deities who made earth. Work in the great universe, the spiritual world of the sun, the spiritual world of the earth, hades, etc. and has been supporting and leading human beings' evolution while changing his names accordingly. Established the primitive laws in heaven and on the earth.
*Ushitora-no-konjin = The deity who had been sealed and retired in the north east and watching over the earth from the underworld, aka Ookunitokotachi-no-ookami.
*Toyokumonu-no-ookami = One of the two deities who made earth. Work in the great universe, the spiritual world of the moon, the spiritual world of the earth, hades, etc. and has been supporting and leading human beings' evolution while changing her names accordingly. In the spiritual world of the earth, supports Ookunitokotachi-no-ookami.
*Hitsujisaru-no-konjin = The deity who had been sealed and retired in the south west and watching over the earth from the underworld, aka Toyokumonu-no-ookami.
*Ananai = The religion that Haniyasu-hiko and haniyasu-hime established on the ancient earth.
*Mizumitama Angels = Angels who inherit a part of Susanoo-no-ookami's soul.
*Henjounyoshi = A male who utilizes and demonstrates features of femininity. A male who embodies a female spirit.
*Norito = Shinto prayers

I’ve been admiring *Grandfather’s way of living which I read in a book. I was deeply impressed by his virtuously and peacefully living in nature while interacting with animals, plants and minerals by consciousness and wills, and enriching nature in line with nature’s wishes. I as who live in the modern society marveled at his way of living that can make nature wealthier and healthier than how nature naturally grows by taking care of it. There are love and wisdom in all of how he treats stones, water, plants and animals. I was touched by his clear heart toward Great Spirit and spirits. I was relieved to know the teaching still exists on earth and my heart was softened by that.
In the modern society that Electronic Information Technology, Space Engineering Technology, etc are highly developed, people’s attentions to Wilderness Survival Skills are very small. But, the minds, behaviors, knowledge and skills that Grandfather and Native Americans have been developing and inheriting in many generations are essential elements for people to build peaceful world and become happier. It indicates to the competition driven world a way of coexistence and to the science driven world relations of spirits. We can be physically and spiritually wealthier while gradually understanding essences of the teachings, devising approaches and applying them to the modern society.
I pray that someday each individuals proactively, willingly and enjoyably contribute to the world to make humanity’s, animals’ plants’ and minerals’ wishes come true. At the same time, I review my thoughts, words and behaviors on a daily basis for myself to become able to demonstrate the Native Americans’ love and wisdom.

My spiritual eyesight hasn’t been developed so well, but still there were three times when I saw spiritual existences in my twenties. The first time was a shooting star that was bigger than the full moon. I saw it in the sky near my apartment on the way home from work. The second time was an evil who had been possessing me. The evil stood at the bedside when my spiritual sickness was the worst. The third time was an angel who had been active as a human. When I met with Naomi Deguchi in Ayabe to ask her for help, I saw her spirit. It was a beautiful figure that many people think of when they hear “Tennyo”. I could only say “Please help me." while crying since various things filled up my heart but she just told me “You don’t have to rush so hard.” while kindly smiling. At a later date, there was one more chance to see her in Tokyo.
There are so many ways to help people. Some people are contributing to the world by their existences or energies without saying much or doing directly. Onisaburo Deguchi said Naomi Deguchi was a reincarnation of Nao Deguchi who was the founder. I always felt that she is working on divine roles at where we don’t recognize.
She went back to heaven in Nov, 2020. I feel now she is working on the roles in heaven. Even now, every time I remember, the tender, bright and beautiful vibration still comes down and I can feel relief. I am very grateful and thankful for her each time.

Aikido is a peaceful martial arts which doesn’t have any offense technique or match so that it works as one of fundamentals to establish happy world. Aikido is not designed to harm others but remove negative energies from the persons who receive the techniques, flow Chi (energy as lives) in both the persons who demonstrate and receive the techniques, or bring positive influences to their mental activities as well as physical healths. Negative energies are accumulated especially in inflexibility of joints and tensions of muscles. Aikido effectively take then away while receiving techniques by joints’ being tightened and loosed, and muscles’ expansion and contraction. Reducing negative energies decreases opportunities to connect with negative phenomena, makes it easier to maintain positive energies, and as a result, brings more chances to face positive events.
Regarding techniques, we can find opportunities for improvement in the course of competitions. There would be people who neglect efforts and corrupt without competitions. Sometime competition is even fun. We may have to fight if we are about to be harmed by someone. There surely are some cases which need competitions or fightings. But, we have to know competition and fighting never contribute to lasting peace because both competition and fighting always generate negative energies regardless of their intentions or results. The idea to defeat someone to move forward prioritizes one’s own happiness than others’ happiness so prevent people from becoming happier in long term future. Even when all related parties look satisfied by the competition or fighting, at the same time, it generates negative energies and negatively impact to the world.
We can compare instead of compete. We can develop a will to improve without competition. We can avoid fightings before happening by reading signs and resolving the reasons.
Morihei Ueshiba knew all about above and implemented the elements to be more peaceful and happier into the martial arts which had been developed to defeat or kill others, and established Aikido for all people from children to old persons regardless of gender to obtain those positive elements through the Aikido practices. Martial arts is one of the toughest thing to be used for peace but Morihei Ueshiba realized it during the World War Ⅱ when was one of the periods people were most violent.
I respect him very much and ask for his support for me to establish my own music to contribute to the happier world.

Human beings have their own individual consciousnesses and weakly connect with others’ consciousnesses which we can't almost recognize the connection. We feel like we live as individual existances but animals and plants don't. The more biologically close to human, the more clearer individual consciousnesses they have, but as a major premise, they originally share more part of their consciousnesses with their peers so their individual consciousnesses are less clear than humans'. Mammals like dogs and cats relatively have clear individual consciousness, but they still share more part of consciousnesses than human beings among their biological groups. Plants and bacteria share far more parts of their consciousnesses and live as group souls.
Souls are not three dimensional things. Souls connect with others among their biological groups without having interference from time or space. From much wider point of view, all lives’ souls are connecting. The more advanced biological evolution has been made, the more energy move to individuals. The less biological evolution has been made, the more energy move to groups. It never happens that all energy completely move to either individual side or group side. It just changes the ratio of individual and group. For instance, human beings have more energy on the individual side and live more like as individual souls. Plants have more energy on the group side and live more like as group souls. Because of this, a damage to each individual when they get killed becomes the biggest for human beings and smaller for more primitive creatures. So, vegetable diet is more life friendly and killing people deeply harm humans' souls.
Every organisms live in unique stages of evolution process. Our roles, objectives and specialties are different. We can not understand about other organisms by human beings' value standards. As the ratio of individual soul and group soul changes, what's essential and standards of good and evil also change. What we should do is to have deeper understanding about respective organisms and make efforts to contribute to their happiness as much as possible.

Desires are necessary to maintain our lives and improve anything in the world. Lives’ instincts such as wanting to exist, grow, become happier are all desires. We try to mkae something better because of desires. Changes are made because they are desired. Desires themselves are neither good nor wrong. They are neutral and essential.
Balanced desires are good desires. While not harming other lives' happiness too much, fulfilling one's own happiness and sharing a part of the happiness with other lives in return.
Unbalanced desires are wrong desires. While harming other lives’ happiness, fulfilling one's own happiness and not giving back enough happiness to other lives.
Desires should be always balanced and not be too much or too less. More balanced desires contain more good and more unbalanced desires contain more evil. In the current world, various physical desires are unbalanced and over generated such as for authority, money and having sex.
Also, prioritization is important for desires as it matters to everything. Prioritizing our own happiness more than others' happiness is not a good-desire but wrong-desire. It’s a Self First Desire. Good-desire cherishes one’s own happiness while prioritizing all lives' happiness.
Everyone wants to be happy so we should become happier to help others become happier.

Many illnesses especially lifestyle illness can be prevented by keep our minds positive and our bodies organic. Many misfortunes can be avoided by paying attention to signs and foreseeing future events, or can be reduced its impact by preparing possible solutions in advance.
We tend to set our minds in a victim mode when we are in troubles then make decisions from victims' point of view. Since we are recognizing ourselves as victims, we often think like “That's unavoidable” or ”That’s not my fault” then deprioritize thoughts about our self-responsibility. What’s prioritized is a solution for the trouble to get out from there. But, the solution is for the occurring illuness as a symptomatic treatment and we don't go deeper into the reasons why we got the illuness. Hence, even if we get out from there, it would be just a temporal relief and those reasons will keep causing other illnesses or misfortunes until we change change our ways of living.
We have to deal with occurring illnesses or misfortunes. But, symptomatic treatment is always an elementary solution and has the least effectiveness and sustainability from holistic view of life. What we should most focus on and pour our efforts into is “Prevention”. We can reduce suffering as much as possible by resolving issues before happens.
As we improve the quality of prevention, we get less suffering. To do so, it's fundamental to revise the ways we’ve been doing so far. We have to act more rationally and ethically. It takes time and efforts. So, we can start from primarily using symptomatic treatment while supplementary using prevention, then gradually shift to work on more prevention and use less symptomatic treatments. If we could resolve undesirable events before occurring, we would be happier.
To not have illnesses as much as possible, let’s be moew aware of our mental conditions, sanitary management, habitual behaviors, health changes, foods' qualities, etc. To not have misfortunes as much as possible, let's be more mindful for selecting living environments and work environments, have deeper understanding about intentions of related parties and reasons of organizations’ movements, be prepared for emergency circumstances, etc. Then we will become able to reduce possible misfortunes and get some controls on the impacts that would be made by those events.

Once people recognize targets as enemies or harms, people easily pit against the targets by the concept of justice or sometime even justify killing the targets as opponents. In movies, games or anime, many of us don't care about extras who get killed in many scenes as enemies or harms. Some of us even be moved by or admire the protagonists who killed those enemies or harms especially if those protagonists overcome many hardships to kill them. In the real world, there are also many people who don't care when hostile country's soldiers or terrorists get killed. What is even worse is some of us wish for their deaths. When they get killed, "beat", "defeat" or other similar words are used instead of “kill” to make our impressions for the events softer and advertisements are used to direct our attentions toward an objective to win over or already won over evil from the fact to kill or already killed opponents. It’s based on the concept that killing others to defeat evil is justice.
Regarding livestock’s lives, most of us don't think or feel anything. There are fundamental concepts that livestock are raised to be eaten or it’s natural for us to eat them. We usually see only packed meats which don't provide much impressions of lives. Meals are served everyday. Due to those conditions, we don't actually feel we are receiving livestock’s lives. For livestock, “process", "cull" or other similar words are used instead of “kill” to make our impressions softer and our attentions are directed from the facts we are killing livestock to our advantages such as taste, health and safety.
We need to cope with those who do disservice to us. Also, meat-eating is necessary. However, we are prioritizing wrong points.
What matter is to not create enemies rather than killing enemies. No one wants to willingly kill others by one’s own hand. There are always reasons why the person was forced to kill others or the case unwillingly ended up killing others. As long as our world keeps having any of those reasons, tragedies that somebody kills somebody else take place somewhere. What we should work on are to have deeper thinking, reflect on one’s own thoughts, words and behaviors, and start removing those reasons from around each of us.
For livestock, we should appreciate their lives and support them to have a happy life until they get killed. Even though livestock have a role to provide their lives for human, we should not automatically receive it without having gratitude for them or any pain in our hearts. It increases disinterest and mercilessness in our minds. Enough gratitude, an appropriate amount of pain in our hearts and our wishes for livestock’s happiness help us maintain mercies and subtleties in our mind activities, and our feelings as sensors fanction correctly.
We are prioritizing less important things in the information that we receive without caution and the actions that we have unconsciously taken in our daily lives. Once we redirect our wills toward what matters for everyone to be happier, our world would be further improved in a positive way.

Vested Interests Recipients want the continuation of the status quo because they are guarded by existing laws. They get huge benefits by small efforts and difficulties. Their first priority is to protect their benefits and they use all possible ways for that. Due to their authority, as more power they get, they are less judged even when they do worngs.
What we can do is to obtain “Ability to Choose”. Become able to choose what job to take, what environment to live in and what country to belong to. We can make efforts to become able to choose better options for any situations around us.
The benefits of Vested Interests Recipients are made by many general people. It means that Vested Interests Recipients need a large number of general people to maintain their status quo. We can inversely leverage this fact and gradually move from the existing systems to better systems by getting "Ability to Choose" so that we can less contribute to their benefits. As we develop more abilities to choose better options, Vested Interests Recipients have less power.
It is not easy to obtain "Ability to Choose”. In the first place, those status quo were carefully built to prevent general people from getting "Ability to Choose". But, of course it's not perfect. We can definitely find opportunities to develop our "Abilities to Choose” wherever we are. We can start from choosing better options in our current situations by the ability to choose we've already gotten so far. By jut recognizing this fact and having an intention to choose better options, qualities of our choices become a little better. Then we gradually learn more about the world, train more skills for our own lives and accumulate more experiences to choose further better options. As we get more "Abilities to Choose", Vested Interests Recipients are more forced to modify the exisiting systems for us otherwise their benefits drastically decrease or disappear due to the choices we have made for us.
Let's make efforts for getting “Ability to Choose” so that we can change the world in better ways!

I feel uncomfortable communicating with people who stopped their proactive learnings. Proactive learning means “learning and acquiring new things by one’s own will and efforts”. It means maintaining motivations, recognizing what we don’t know, finding out our own ways to learn new things, gathering information, developing skills, accumulating experiences, asking for evaluation and feedback and continuing to refine one’s ownself.
Many people give up their proactive learnings as they get ages. Once people get an environment where they can live without additional learnings, people tend to avoid changes in their lives and prioritize fulfilling their interests and desires rather than working on developments of their humanity and capability. Since people have been already gotten used to passive learning by modern educations, they don’t want proactive learning once they get secured life.
What I don’t like is not those people themselves, but their ideas that have emotional dependencies such as “easily want answers from somebody”, lack of responsibility such as “someone will resolve the issue for us”, lack of confidence such as "I can’t do that anyway…", lack of sense of urgency such as “It’ll be probably ok in the end”, laziness such as “oh, what a pain… bothring...”, etc. Those words are reflections of their ideas that they want to improve thier situations by others’ wills and efforts rather than their own wills and efforts. They prioritize their advantages. Those ideas deteriorate their humanity and quality of the world. There must be some reasons for them to think like that, but I can’t see or hear those ideas without getting annoyed:) Because my heart immediately reacts to the fact they are prioritizing their negative motives without caring influences to others or the world. It also consumes a lot of my energy to control my irritation caused by those events. So, I don’t like the communication with those people…
I wrote a blog “Delete expectations for others” several months ago, but I have still been working on that as well. Since I strongly believe that everyone has a potential to be a proactive leaner, it turns to my expectation for others and I get annoyed when I see people who stopped their proactive learnings. This is a tough challenge for me. I'm still working on this even though it has already taken more than 15 years since I started caring about it. (It's been getting better a little by little:)
It seems there is a need to have a deeper understanding about the reasons of their words and behaviors. Or once I overcome my another challenges, it may bring some leeway for me to accept thier stopping proactive learnings or I may be able to neutrally see them as just facts. Anyway, overcoming difficulties is very hard. I'll keep working on it to grow my capability and let my heart stay in a better harmony as much as possible.

In many cases, systems are built or updated for sponsors. The sponsors here mean that individuals or organizations who provide directions, money, systems, etc for implementers and also bring some benefits to the implementers as a result of the implementation. Only when it makes more benefits for the sponsors than the majority of people, systems are built or updated for the majority of people. The sponsors are far smarter than the implementers, looking further into the future and understanding the impact that the change would provide with people. They foresee people’s reactions into details and then directly or indirectly provide directions and supports for the implementers by implementers' languages within the scope of what the implementers need to know. Those implementers don’t know sponsors' real purposes, a big picture of directions or impacts for the world. Some of implementers don’t even know they are used as implementers while they are building or updating systems. What the majority of people can see is up to implementers' level. Sponsors are invisible.
Respective sponsors have their own philosophy and ideals, and use the implementers to realize that. The implementers receive money, positions, power or what they want from the sponsors by working in between the sponsors and people.
Albeit good or bad, the real world is operated like this. Our world has not been built or updated yet based on an ethical righteousness or all lives’ happiness in the world.
We can start from knowing the facts, observing their movements and thinking about how to deal with those facts by our own wills. I think it is important for each of us.

I often see people use or try to use their mental preferences and mathematical proofs for unsuitable purposes. People often prioritize their mental preferences for public matters and mathematical proofs for private matters.
Private matters should be determined by subjective views because each individual would like to be happier based on their own criteria. What they think figure out their lives and what they feel turn to their happiness. So, it would be better to prioritize mental preferences for our private matters. Mathematical proofs can be complementary for decision making.
Public matters should be determined by objective views because people have to find out a fine blanance among unique needs from various people. To make sure fairness and benefits for the whole community, people need to “view” expectations, progresses and results in the same way. For this purpose, mathematical proofs are very useful and reliable. Mental preferences can be complementary to tailor processes.
Prioritizing mental preferences for personal matters drives our happiness and prioritizing mathematical proofs for public matters bring greater benefits to our societies.

There are many things we think about one event. The contents of our thoughts change depend on our point of views at that time. What thoughts we should prioritize for our words and behaviors for the event also change.
For example, in the case of commenting about and taking action for “making efforts”, it could be as below.
・ If I were a practitioner and admiered about my efforts, it's better to brace myself for not being overconfident while being glad.
・ If I were a teacher and saw student's effort, it's better to lead the student to further growth while admiring.
・ If I were a manager and saw direct report's effort, it's better to support the direct report to achieve his/her goals while admiring.
・ If I were a colleague and saw peer's effort, it's better to work on providing good influences each other while admiring.
・ If I were an observer and saw other's effort, it's better to have a respect for him/her and encourage myself to further develop myself.
According to "time, place and position", appropriateness of our "thoughts, words and behaviors" changes. It would become more suitable or less suitable according to respective situations. To find out what thought, word and behavior is appropriate for the situation, we can use the criteria that “how much it could contribute to people's happiness who are involved in the situation.” We all are unique and would like to be happy. So, adjusting our “thoughts, words and behaviors" while prioritizing all parties’ happiness is very constructive.
In the real world, many of us don't adjust our "thoughts, words and behaviors" according to "time, place and position" or consider related parties’ happiness very much. When we are not aware of the fact, we usually reflexively say or do what we want because we are very selfish:)
We all wish happiness. The contents of happiness are different, but the fact we wish happiness is the same. We are interacting by "thoughts, words and behaviors" each other. To effectively contribute to everyone's happiness, we can keep using appropriate "thoughts, words and behaviors” according to "time, place and position".

I guess many people sometime think about a post-retirement life with enough time and money while being busy at work or dealing with various payments. I often think that when I see the tax details in my salary statements or loans’ balances.
But, in the real life, I don’t see many people who look happy even though they are actually living in their post-retirement lives by their assets or investments, or receiving high income while still being employed. They have enough money to live so they don’t look anxious unless they have a severe illness or something like that, but they seem to have a lot of dissatisfactions. On the rebound, they keep talking about themselves, get jealous of others’ happiness, be unkind to others who are in weaker positions, etc. They seem to already forget and be unable to recall how to become happy.
To feel happiness, “receiving positive thoughts from others" is very important as well as fulfilling fundamental desires like safety and security. We feel good when someone thanks us. We are glad when someone likes us. But, we feel bad when someone looks down on us. We feel sad when someone ignores us. Our hearts naturally react to the thoughts from others. As more positive thoughts come, we feel better. As more negative thoughts come, we feel worse.
Adults who look unhappy aren't receiving positive thoughts from others so much. In general, it's based on the fact that they haven’t done so many things for others' happiness so far. It's a result of their behaviors that have been only focusing on their own happiness or someone’s happiness who relates to their own happiness such as their family or loved ones.
Others don’t feel positive about us unless we look toward and take actions for others’ happiness. We know it’s not easy to make additional efforts for others' happiness since we have already made a lot of efforts to live, but still, we should keep changing ourselves to contribute to others’ happiness in our own ways such as volunteers, entertainments, education, welfare, technical assistance, local activities, etc so that we can be happier each other.
I wish people care about their own happiness, further care about everyone’s happiness and naturally think they want to become happier to make everyone happier.

This is what I had felt in the team where I had been a part of for several months. The manager of the team was a very generous person who softly spoke and genuinely paid attention to his direct reports’ happiness. His business skill was normal and I wasn't completely satisfied with his task management, prioritization of focus areas, reporting to higer managements, etc, but I was looking forward to my one-on-one meeting with him since he was a nice person.
The atmosphere within the team was good and open so I often heard fun jokes. Many team members freely shared some fun pics they had taken in their private life. Even though we were busy at work and some complains were raised from team members, we even discussed about those complaints in team meetings as and shared outcomes with the manager to ask him to consider the possible solutions. As long as I know, the communication of our team was much healthier than any other teams.
At each member’s capability level, I sometime see a lack of basic business skills such as paying attention to details, making sufficient preparations, doing necessary followups, taking enough ownership, etc. But, we supported each other and our works had been going well. What I was most impressed was the fact many members did greater jobs beyond their abilities. We liked the manager and team so we shared collaborative and positive atmosphere among team members. We influenced and complemented each other. That bloomed our potentials and we had made grater results than our abilities.
Due to the increase of team members, our team was divided into two groups. I joined the team which supported EMEIA and JAPAC and moved away from the team led by the manager who supported AMR. Eventually, both teams were decommissioned by the business direction at that time and all members moved to other roles. But, I still remember the productive energy made by the environment.
A report of a certain IT company was also mentioning about the grater results made by the intimacy within team. It says that the team of normal ability people who get along well is more productive than the team of high ability people who don't get along so well. I truly agree with it. Our abilities can be more utilized and we can be more productive when we are in a team whose members have positive feelings each other. Greater collaboration can not be made by interests or competition because they cause too much stresses which prevent people from achieving desired results. There actually are so many organizations that have talented people but aren't successful.
Individuals who are at a place to manage people should firstly make efforts to build relationship and environment that create positive feelings among the team. Ideally, each member should also make efforts to become a person who can have positive feelings each other regardless of their ages, roles, etc. We have rarely seen that in the real world. So, we can keep working on it to expand to the world.

Capitalism, democracy, communism, socialism, feudalism and many more, although there are various social systems, their long term success are determined by how well people who live under the system grow up rather than how great the system is or how great the leaders are.
Even in the capitalism, people can take actions to correct the unbalance of capital distribution if the majority of people are well developed. Even in the democracy, people get controlled by a small number of people who have authorities if the majority of people are not well developed. Regardless of the types of social system, if their majority are developed enough, correcting actions would be taken when necessary and their social system would be changing to be align with their wishes. Because people dislike unfairness and refuse to be taken the freedom away. In other words, the current world is a reflection of qualities of all existing people. We see corruptions in politics and business all over the world, but it means the majority of us are not matured enough to become able to prevent them from corruptions.
Legal actions for wrongdoings are taken place after someone suffers damage and just work as a temporal treatment for each case. So, it can not make the world peaceful. What we can do is resolving issues at warning level before they start making significant impacts. We need as many as people who have a capability to broadly and deeply see through things and take deterrent actions in their respective fields and positions under any social systems. Since the scope is boundless, each of us has to grow and collaborate to prevent wrongdoings. Unless we prevent wrongdoings before they happen or someone suffers damage, a peaceful world will not come true.
Again, any social system works well if the majority of people are truly matured. I hope everyone thinks about this when they consider the peaceful society.

People get quiet when someone irritated comes into the room. People feel comfortable when they are with a person who has positive energy. People feel a mournful mood around someone who has worries. People get tense when a dignified person is there. Haven't you experienced any of those situations?
Even when people don't say anything or adjust their face expressions to hide their feelings, one’s feeling resonates with others’ feelings. Levels of resonance are unique according to strength and commonness of feelings, etc. Regardless of an awareness of the feeling propagation, we surely receive some kind of influence from others' feelings. Positive feeling creates positive influence and negative feeling creates nevative influence. Our minds work in the same way as well.
What I want to tell here are two things.

I like my skin color and I'm proud that I grew up in Japanese culture. I believe many people who grown up in other countries or areas are also proud of their own skin colors and cultures.
Overall, my skin color is a mixture of pale pink and yellow. I call it as “Touki-iro”. "Tou" means plae pink, "ki" means "Yellow" and "iro" means color. More accurately, my face is close to #F9C89B because of a light suntan and my body is close to #FDE8D0 because of no suntan. Those are similar colors as general Japanese have. Partially, I see a little of brown, red-purple, pale green and a few other colors are mixed with different ratios. Just like people generally have, I have some dissatisfaction about my looks. When I turned to 40, I suddenly became curious about my skin quality and started skin care and makeup to minimize or hide pores. Also, I started wearing color contact lenses and changing hair colors. But, those are just expressions to show myself in a better way. I’m satisfied with my skin color.
I strongly feel skin color is one of fundamentals of our identity. Each color has unique character and role, and there is no inferior-to-superior relationship. Big things can be accomplished by everyone’s collaboration. This is what I believe. To make it happen, we should respect and accept the differences, understand we can complement each other because of the differences, and learn the way to create a harmony according to the differences.
I remember, a couple of years ago, I felt relieved when I saw the reproduced image of Jesus broadcast by BBC in the past. In contrast to the great techniques, in the Renaissance paintings, painters seemed to intentionally drew Jesus with white(ivory) skin and Europeans physical features to treat him as an European. So, I couldn't have a sense of intimacy. But, the image reproduced by a scholar that was based on the skull of the person who lived in the same area in the same period has dark brown skin, olive eyes, round big nose, curly short black hair, mustache and bearded. It was a face that I can feel calm.
We don’t have to determine which color is better. All colors are graceful. Brown type, Black type, White type, Red-Brown type, Touki type and all other color types exist because they are all necessary. All colors have respective strengths and weaknesses. That’s why we can support each other. I as Touki-iro has features as Touki-iro so that I can contribute to the world while using them. That's what matters for us.
I hope the world comes true where everyone can be proud of their skin colors, be proud to be themselves, respect for all colors and their unique abilities and help each other by those differences.

People feel fears from many things. I think many of them are coming from unknowns. In my 20s, I had always felt a strong stress to work on the tasks which I don’t know while taking responsibilities for those tasks. What I had at the bottom of my stress was the fact that I didn’t know what were expected for me, what mattered to related parties or how I can know what I don’t know. I didn’t even know what I don’t know very much. I didn’t want to hear complains…. Also, due to the lack of my business experience, I didn’t understand that freedom can be given as a compensation of executing duties so I prioritized my ethical values than what prioritized in business. That was also one of the reasons of my confusion.
What became as a clue to resolve this challenge was “Researching”. I listed up what I didn’t know, researched how to research, researched in multiple ways, carefully read appropriate parts of materials, read specialized books, took certifications, tried out what I had researched in my private life. For what couldn't be known by researching, I directly asked someone who knows that. For instance, I asked my bosses and related parties about what they expected for me. I asked customers about the reason why they chose the products, purpose of use, what they eventually would like to achieve by that. I asked someone with experiences if there was anything else I need. When there were still unknowns, I surmised what's necessary from available resources such as company’s internal evaluation criteria, movements in related departments, personality types of related parties. Then I could complement my knowledge and experiences.
More we know, we get less fears and anxieties which came from our worng assumptions caused by unknowns. When we have unknowns, we tend to be worried based on our assumptions like this may happen, others may think of us like that. Then those pointless negative thoughts negatively expand our delusions and increase our fears and anxieties. We can reduce those fears and anxieties as much as we know about the unknowns and get enough confidence to work on those unknowns.
More I knew, I had gotten less fears and anxieties which came from my assumptions. When I had unknowns, I had tended to be worried like what to do if this happens..., others may think of me like that..., etc. Those negative thoughts negatively expand delusions. I have noticed that I can see the reality as much as how much I knew and I had been feeling unnecessary pointless suffering.
Now I can say I’m good at doing what I don’t know while taking its responsibility. I became able to get the point of what the company, bosses, related parties and users want. Even when I could not get it, I can find a way to get it. Of course, there are still some cases I create delusions and get unnecessary anxieties, but the life became easier to me. If you are in the similar situations, it may be worth to start from researching what you don’t know.

Everything has bipolarity and the appropriate balance between polar opposites is changing according to time, place and position. It’s very important to stand on the balance point in any circumstances.
When I meet someone, I’m not good at finding the balance point between trust and caution. I always lean to the caution side. I already know some of the reasons why I'm on the caution side such as trying to not feel uncomfortable due to the person's words or behaviors that have totally different values from mine, not spend extra time and efforts for the events which are not in line with my objectives, etc. Caution is not helpful to make harmony and peace with others which I'm aiming for even though it’s helpful to maintain the harmony and peace. Also, caution consumes a lot of energy and makes me exhausted. So, I keen to become able to take the fine balance in any way.
So far, I’ve tried to see others’ good points, understand the reason of their words and behaviors, consider cultural, historical and environmental backgrounds, simply accept those words and behaviors as their free wills, gently tell my thoughts and many more. But, I couldn’t get enough results and am not still able to take the fine balance between trust and caution. Recently, I re-realized that my expectations for others are not fitting with the reality. So, I reset the expectations and adjusted a target of my interest and a direction of my attention. For instance, when talking with someone, while at the same time I understand what the person says and the person's personality, I intentionally remove the expectations I had had, give up concentrating on the person's motives which have been the subjecs of my interest and direct my attention toward necessary elements for the person to be happier.
It may also be worth for you to review subjects of your interest, directions of your attantion and your expectations for others. It may bring you a better balance.

As we go back in time to the 2000s, 1990s, 1980s, 1970s, 1960s, we see people had more smiles, generosity, leeway and vitality. We can see those in the TV programs at that time. According to the stories from old persons, people were further lively before the World War Ⅰ. There are not so many pictures available which were taken before the World War Ⅰ, but I can't see them without having impressions that people at that time were far more brave, dignified and vital than current people. When I see the cultural heritages from Edo period (1868 - 1603), I always get an impression that people had even more open-mind and vitality.
Since Meiji era, people’s vitality has been decreasing in inverse proportion to the development of science technologies and the development of business activities based on the science technologies. We haven’t acquired the way to lively live as a group in this technology based social system yet. Especially, in the recent 30 years, taxes and living expenses have been increasing and the actual income has been decreasing. Due to many challenges to obtain enough foods, clothing and housing and the stress from work, leeways in Japanese minds have been decreasing and NEET and Hikikomori who can’t have enough vitality to have social activities has been rapidly increasing.
Systems around us have been highly developed. However, since "our mind to care about one’s own happiness and even more care about the happiness of entire humanity” hasn’t grown up, the highly developed systems have been prioritizing the benefits for a very small number of people and a huge number of all the rest are working for the very small numbers of people while receiving very little benefits from them in return. These systems mostly cause hardship rather than happiness for the individuals in the majority. It’s so hard for those individuals to get enough skills to resist their current circumstances because the sytems are extraordinarily highly developed and complicated. We would need time to resolve this issue and get fairer systems because any systems are reflections of people's minds who are involved in the building process and it would take long time to make changes in those poeple's minds.
However, we can gradually realize better circumstances by learning about the systems and how we can better live in those sytems. As our lives become easier to live, we get more leeways to contribute to the changes of the systems. As we keep taking actions based on the idea that each of us selects the best option for the happiness of all in any situations, minds of others who are with us in those situations change a little by little and this good influence expands to the world.
Changing the way of living through daily work and life is not easy. We actually sometime face challenges. But, we can make it as long as we keep working on it.
I pray for everyone to have more lively, delightful and happier lives.

Regardless of organic or artificial, it tastes good if the final product as a food has a good quality. However, there are definitive differences in the tastes at ingredient levels. Organic ingredients have stronger flavor, aroma and color than artificial ingredients. That's why artificial foods contain artificial seasonings to adjust the tastes and make them tasty. Organic foods have least damage to human bodies. On the other hand, there have been so many efforts to reduce the damage to human bodies for artificial foods. Organic foods keep our five senses functioning correctly but artificial foods gradually deteriorate the functioning of our five senses over a long period of time. Organic foods are more expensive because they need more care and efforts than artificial foods for production and preservation. But I take organic foods as always as possbile. When they are not available, I select less-chemical foods as the second option. I limit myself to take average-chemical foods when I can make a decision that it would be a better option for the situations, people whom I’m with, or my stress management at that time.
Qualities of five senses keep affecting qualities of emotionality, rationality, morality and upper ranked attributes. It’s very hard to recognize those quiality changes because they are so slow and subtle. But, if we see a comparison in decades, we'll see a clear tendency that people who mainly took organic foods have better external features like better skin quality and hair texture, in addition, often have better internal features like abilities, rationalilies and moralities than the people who mainly took artificial foods.
All chemicals contain wills of human beings. Since those wills of human beings have lower qualities than the wills of nature, all artificial ingredients are inferior than organic ingredients and contribute to the deterioration of five senses, emotionality, rationality, morality, etc.
Eating is one of the fundamental life sustaining activities which requires a lot of costs and efforts since it’s necessary everyday. So, the majority of people select the artificial foods because of the low cost, its convenience and the taste that they can be somewhat satisfied with, but I would like to encourage everyone to take organic foods as the first option and less-chemical foods as the second option so that we can more easily maintain our healthy physical and mental activities as always as possible.

Having a mind to understand others is a first step of love. Paying regard to what others care about, recognizing their efforts, going along with others while reading their thoughts, etc. By understanding others, a part of their heart and a part of our heart positively connect then a trustworthy relationship are made. Once we have it, we naturally get an urge to do something for the others who have the understanding for us. This is a very important mind activity to live and work together.
However, it's not so easy to do so when we have many thing to do or want to do. We prioritize ourselves and stop paying attention to others. It becomes a habit then makes us not feel anything about the fact we don’t have interests in others, and finally we become unable to even doubt about the fact.
In the West, I often see people who don’t have interests in peers’ or direct reports’ works. Without looking at the details of the works, they just provide compliments and wrap up. They take a stance that it’s OK if it looks like the business as usual. On the other hand, they have interests in their family a lot. Spending time with their families in the weekend for their kid's club activities or leisure. They seem to have a deeper understanding each other.
In Japan, parents surely support food, clothing and housing, but don’t have interests in what their families make efforts for or circumstances where their families are. They take a stance that it’s OK if their families are healthy and not making any problem. On the other hand, they pay attention to what their peers or direct reports do at their work place, but there are many cases the attentions don’t come from positive intentions.
We should have interests for others. Because the lack of interest means the lack of love. At the same time, we need to have it in a right way. Otherwise, it would be used in wrong ways such as for jealously or hate.
We can intentionally have the interests. Even for the things we are not interested in at all at the beginning, if we understand a bit, we’ll get a little interest. We can intentionally develop our interests by keep making efforts to understand. Let’s expand a scope of our interests as much as possible. Starting from what people who close to us care about or make efforts for, then gradually understand about organization, society and world, let’s expand our love by our interests little by little.

I remember the one whom I respect said "Expectations for others are high in Japan”. I occasionally recall the word since I often see those situations. The “expectation” here means stereotyped and preconceived ideas that “We should behave like this as Japanese”. For example, Japanese should greet in a polite manner, sincerely take care of customers, pay regard to older people, etc. It's an imposition of one's own standards to others. If someone gets out from it, people would easily blame or bully the person. So, people often take the same behaviors as others even though they don’t want or have something else they want. For instance, in business, people keep having meetings that all participants think it’s meaningless, do unpaid overtime work while knowing it’s a violation of human rights or ware a suit every day even if it doesn't look good on them. In personal life, parents let their kid go to the similar after school activities as others, many moms regularly communicate with mom friends whom they don’t like…. To meet the expectations, people take many actions that accumulate tehir stresses.
The problem is Japanese has too high expectations for other Japanese. On the other hand, Japanese has too low expectations for foreigners. We often see people who are unkind to Japanese but serve for foreigners with a smile at stores, in business or in private lives. There are many people who don’t teach anything to Japanese colleagues but leave tasks to them without giving any help at offices, however, inversely try to speak to foreigners in English even though they can not speak English at all. Of course, there are many other serious factors behind those behaviors, but we have a lot of room for improvement in reconfiguring the expectations among Japanese.
We should be more generous to others among Japanese. As long as not harming others, we should be able to behave more freely as we wish. If should be fine for men to wear skirt, color and arrange their hair, wear color contact lenses or go out with a man. If we keep our appearances and behaviors clean, those look good, too. It also looks cool when women manage organizations while having their masculine ambitions and leadership. Having more women in the leadership team makes the world more peaceful.
At first, we can start from removing our expectations for others, then understand the expectations from others, and develop our own ways to fend off those unnecessary expectations.

Note: This blog contains topics about races and histories which you may feel a bit sensitive. It is aiming for a better understanding of current circumstances and overcoming challenges for more constructive future.
In the old days, Japanese had much more self-confidence. We can still feel the sense of self-confidence from Samurai’s way of living, open-minded Edo culture, traditional events like festivals, etc. We feel powerful momentum from those cultural heritages. Each era had differences, but there hadn't been self-pity but strong trust in their beliefs and their own self.
The big changes came in due to the introduction of Western culture by the Meiji Restoration and the defeat in the World War Ⅱ. According to those events, the common concepts shared within Japanese were drastically changed. In short, longing for White people and a sense of inferiority toward White people were intentionally introduced. Against the backdrop of the overwhelming difference in scientific abilities and the occupation due to the defeat of the war, Western culture was spread to all over Japan. Movies, sports and fashions were fully utilized and Western cultures were taught in the schools. As a result, the inferiority that White people are superior than Japanese was firmly established in Japanese unconsciousness. As time goes by, its influence has been getting less little by little. But people still select White models for the commercials that need elegant impression such as expensive car commercials. When we say foreign-looking makeup, it implies nicer looking and naturally means White women’s makeup or half-White/half-Japanese women’s makeup. In academic and business fields, we mostly receive new ideas from the West rather than deliver them to the world.
What we should understad here is that the sense of beauty and the sense of superior/inferior are always hugely influenced by environments and cultures. They are not permanent value nor rarely indicate the truth.
In the era of Japanese missions to Sui China and Tang China, people longed for China and men used Chinese character. We can see the longing from the meaning of 漢 that is used for 漢民族 (Han Chinese). It means “man, manly" in Japanese. We tend to think our sense of beauty or sense of superior/inferior are coming from our own subjective views or preferences, but essentially, it's not so accurate. Our original sense in our souls and spirits are drastically different. If we were born in other eras, countries or races, we would have very different values.
Let’s start from being aware of the fact and keep recognizing it. There is truly no fact that people are beautiful because they are White or Japanese. As our point of view change, our preferences change then our sense of beauty change. It’s same for the sense of superior/inferior. Of course, there are obvious differences in our physical features because of our racial differences or mind activitiy features because of our cultural backgrounds. However, it's reasonable and expected. We originally have different roles and each race and individual has unique strengths and weaknesses. It means that there is no absolute order of superiority and inferiority.
Everyone has gifted beauty and power. I hope everyone realizes the fact and lives with more self-confidence.

Except a few areas like Kansai, Japanese are generally not so proactive in communicating with others nor good at negotiations. It gets even worse when they communicate or negotiate with foreign people. Of course it can be overcome once we train. There are actually people who can do that. But in general, Japanese are more introverted than extroverted and not so suited for the modern business activities. Our tendency to react more emotionally than logically is also not suited for the business. Additionally, there are less opportunities to interact with multi racial or multi cultural people. So, new business ideas or social systems that can be applied globally are rarely developed here.
However, because of the more introverted nature and the relatively uniformed social environment, inside of each individuals are more freely developed. For instance, many anime and manga creators, composers, enginners, chefs, etc have been created and distributed unprecedented works to the world. This is not well known, but there are actually great spiritual leaders and martial artists who reached where no one has gone before. We are much more unique than we think:)
Now we still work toward the Western style business and our business runs based on Japanese style reproduction of the products and services developed in the West. However, as some countries live by the tourist business as tourism-oriented countries, it's a much better way for Japan to live by the contents business as a culture-oriented country. Recently, our cultural resources, not only the traditional martial arts, arts, kimono, shrine/temples but also daily foods, anime, fashion, etc, have been enriched and distributed from Japan to the world. I'm expecting to see our culture becomes further matured and each individual’s talents and efforts bloom in many fields.

Senpai = People who were born or joined the organization earlier
Kohai = People who were born or joined the organization later
I think the culture to respect senior people originally came from the fact that people paid regard to elders' efforts who lived longer in the era when it’s much harder to survive. But in current Japan, it turned to a system that allows older people get an advantage than younger people without having any right reason. Regardless of personality or ability, senior students have stronger power than junior students in schools, and people who joined the organization earlier get stronger power than people who joined later in society. It surely happens anywhere without any condition. There is a custom that people naturally expect that individuals who came in later should have lower position and be as weaker existence just because they were born or joined later. What we can see at the bottom of this custom is that the older people's corrupted mind to try to get the advantage without having any efforts….
I believe modern Japan’s less innovations in economy, lower education level and immature mind for human rights and environmental protection compared with leading countries are essentially caused by this Senpai - Kohai culture. More acurately, caused by the corruption due to Senpai mind. I often see people who deteriorate their personalities and abilities after they get higher positions. I also see many middle aged and older people whose rationalities and personalities remain undeveloped. Since they can get power without any effort, they start making less efforts and eventually stop making efforts at some point. In the company where I’m working at, especially in US and Europe offices, higher position people obviously have highly developed rationalities, more attractive personalities and greater communication skills. (Of course, they have other challenges:)
To have fairer manners in economical and cultural activities in Japan, it would be helpful to set conversational rules in organizations that everyone speaks in casual languages or polite languages regardless of their position, invite well-developed people from multiple countries/regions and train our skills to work in a flat environment regardless of races and cultures or implement the system that allows Kohai give the anonymous feedback to Senpai that will be counted as a part of Senpai’s annual evaluation. We need to make efforts to remove the Senpai privilege that can be granted by just being born or joining the organization earlier.

Each of us has very specific preferences on anything which comes from our unique needs. We can’t say what preference is good or bad because each preference has a particular reason and a special meaning to them. But, we tend to critisize others’ preferences that look less sophisticated or highly sophisticated than ours because it looks immature or much greater than us. We also critisize the preference that looks out of our righteous standard even if we also like it or sometime even do it. It comes from our excess ego that we want to be superior than others and make ourselves look nicer than how nice we acutually are. In other words, our denials of others’ preferences are mostly made by our inappropriate ideas. Others' preferences are not wrong, but our views are wrong:)
As long as their preferences do not provide obvious negative impacts on others, we should not deny. We would rather consider why they like it and what good things are brought to the world by that then respect their preferences even if it doesn't fit with our preferences. It's bringing something necessary to the world which our preferences can not bring.

I believe karma, but still don't think our world is fair enough. The meaning of fair I use here is to receive happiness corresponding to the goods we provide others.
Some people think "Our world is already fair" or "Our world should be fair", but I have a different idea. I belive "The fair world is what we should create together". We should collaborate and permanently make efforts to gradually improve unfairness to fairness. Fairness is accomplished as all life cooperates together.
This is very difficult because there are many people who don't want fairness. But, I'm feeling that this universe places grate importance on proficiently involving those people and working together toward better fariness. I treat it as an assignment which human being needs to continue working on to evolve further. That's why I always think about how I can contribute to the fair world.

Discipline is a rational behavior. Point out others' fault and guide to a right direction.
Blame is an emotional behavior. Get irritated and tell others something with the anger.
But, many people seem to mix up these two. In varius cases, I see people angrily warn others or blame others while saying it's a discipline. Especially, in Asian countries such as Japan, when older people correct younger people's faults, they easily mix up discipline and blame. I always feel sorry for those younger people...
Unless providing an advice in a rational manner, we won't be appreciated by them because they mainly receive our anger even if the advice is correct. We might be even grudged by them. Because taking one's own anger out on others is the same as attacking against others' mental fields. No one will appreciate if they get hurt.
It is sometime necessary to point out others' faults and lead them toward good direction. I hope everyone can gently discipline when we get the chance.

I always think "Less hardship is better" because even if we don't want, hardship definitely comes to us. So, I think we should minimize it. Hardship always occurs when we are passive. We feel stress and recognize it as hardship when we have to do something we don't want. Hardship brings us opportunities to acquire compassion, insight, etc. But, at the same time, there are things we would lose. Due to the too much hard time, we may get distorted mind, generate negative energy all around us or our face could become even ugly...
On the other hand, I always think "More effort is better". Because it's positive and forward-looking. We make efforts to achieve something. It's a productive and proactive behavior. We make efforts because we want to do, not because we have to do. Our ability grows since it's an active approach and it wouldn't cause too much stress since it's basically fun. People get good influences by seeing our making efforts and get impressed by our dedication.
Due to the respective natures, effort has many positive elements and hardship has many negative elements. I want to be happy as much as possible, so I always keep in mind reducing hardship and increasing efforts.

"Don't judge people by their looks". It's a kind of saying we sometime hear in Japan, but I always feel uncomfortable when I hear it:) Because it's an expression that easily leads people to misunderstanding and many people seem to be actually misunderstanding it.
Essentially, it's not realistic to exclude visual information while being in the world depends on the visual information. Looks is a place where a part of one's feelings, thoughts, behaviors, habits, a way of living, etc are expressed, so it becomes a helpful information for decisions. Maintaining clean looks implies that the person has been making efforts to be clean. In addition, their distinguished looks actually cause positive feelings around us. It's a small contribution to the society:) So, I think those efforts and contributions should be recognized.
When visual information comes to us, we immediately and reflexively generate a feeling about it and our rationality can not control how we feel about it. A learge influence that the first impression provide for people and a fact that visual information gives bigger influence than audio information are well known. Clean looks is very important for people to live comfortably. To not make others feel uncomfortable and to make ourselves feel more positive, let's maintain our looks nice and clean.
"Both personality and looks are considered for decisions". This is more realistic and constructive, and expands good influences to the world.

When we are asked by someone about something, we may think “Well... I don’t wanna tell about it... But, I don’t wanna lie neither...”. Sometime people ask about those topics which we hesitate to answer while knowing the fact it would make us hesitate. It happens anywhere at school, company, society, etc.
In such cases, I don't place importance on telling a truth. Because to know any truth, it's essential for the questioner to have a proper eligibility to know it. The eligibility means a capability to not criticize any truth but process the information in constructive, friendly and peaceful manner. I assess if the questioner meets this criteria.
I also see through the questioner’s intention why he or she wants to know it. If it's only for their benefits like satisfying their curiosity, they don't have the eligibility. Any revealing information should bring benefits to both of answerer and questioner. It should bring positive results for both of them such as feeling good or being able to move forward.
After considering the questioner's intension and capability, I accordingly arrange the information to tell. If the questioner doesn't have a good intension or enough capability, I would make the information vague, tell a little bit of truth while hiding rests or decline to answer due to privacy, etc so that we can prevent them from using the information only for himself or herself. If the questioner has a good intention or proper capability, I provide neccessary or enought information. By doing this, we can adjust the amount of information without telling a lie. Once we get used to it, we become able to handle each case without harming our and others’ feeling much.
Side note: I think it's necessary to use positive lies according to time, place and position. After considering happiness of related parties, if telling a lie would be the best solution for the case, we don't have to hesitate to tell a positive lie. (Flattering could be a positive lie, too, right?:) What matters is whether it connects to everyone’s happiness or not.
